My S.G. Tallentyre Post

Filed under: Featured — Tags: , — Glenn AKA: Wired Pig @ 8:08 PM

No, this is not some obscure post . It is a post relating to a famous and oft mis attributed one. That quote is – I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. By S.G. Tallentyre Freedom of speech, or rather the toleration of speech [...]

Linux Rising

In two separate reports the authors are talking about Linux gaining share, acceptance and a solid footing. With sub $1000.00 notebooks not even running Vista Home Basic well and really wanting 2GB RAM to run decently that leaves these low end laptops out as effective Vista machines. To keep the sweet spot for affordable laptops [...]

Blog IE Issue Fixed

Filed under: Asides — Glenn AKA: Wired Pig @ 12:12 PM

Thanks to @MaxWeb for pointing out a page load issue on the blog. It seems that the nice reCAPTCHA plugin for WordPress causes IE to load the page, panic and then error out. I have disabled the plugin. Sorry I didn’t catch it sooner. I’ll use the excuse that I use Firefox and it was [...]

Good Pics, Bad Pics and No Pics.

It was funny and a bit insulting when I was told by a Yahoo! email account to remove images from my blog that were not approved for an “OPEN Source”. I’ll admit I was hot under the collar over it and I fired off an email to the requester as well as to the IT [...]

Attempted Website Exploit

I am obsessive/compulsive when it comes to reading my server or blog access logs. As a result I usually spot new robots and people doing ill pretty quick. It also allows me to spot cool sites and organizations accessing my site as well. I have been watching a few Israeli IP’s accessing my site lately. [...]
